The proud municipality of Podunk, Vermont, is pleased to announce our application has been accepted, and we are now an official member of the Outsider Poetry Slam League of America! Our team will henceforth be known as the Podunk Polemicists. Without further adieu let's meat the members of our inaugural 2016 traveling slam team.

Ms. Elliana Froudencraump is a Mayflower descendant of one of the oldest and most respected families in Vermont. She is staunch and stark and severe . On occasion she will place the accent on the second syllable of an anapest just to show she means business and is not to be trifled with. She is the captain of the Podunk Polemicists and insists on finishing first.

The Podunk Polemicists are proud to say they haven't toned it down one bit. In fact they have turned it up, much like our esteemed Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders. The Podunk Polemicists would like to announce we officially endorse Bernie Sanders for President of the United States.
We'll be in Rockford, Illinois April 22nd at the Outsider Poetry depot for the first Outsider Poetry Slam League of America battle royale. All eight teams in this year's league will be there fighting it out for the title of America's most badass poetry slam team.
